What I’ve been doing instead of posting on this blog:

One Dog Paws Christmas Stocking done and one to sew together.  Are they not adorable?!

Another Christmas gift I completed this week is for my best friend’s coffee table.  Open the book and

Scripture Stones for her to write her favorite scriptures on!  Lovely bags of etched stones from Hobby Lobby for $4.99, minus my 40 % off coupon from the Hobby Lobby app.

I also completed my own coffee table display of Scripture Stones

Rotisserie Chicken Dinner from Pinterest was delicious and easy!

with Banana Bars for desert as well as delivering a tray full of bars to Ben’s school for the teachers dinner.  Parent/Teacher conferences were Wednesday night.  A lady, Carolyn T., I use to work with gave me this recipe and I’ve never found a more delicious banana bar recipe.  The sour cream is the secret.

Frosted Banana Bars

Cream together in large bowl:  1/2 cup softened butter and 1 1/2 cup sugar.  Add 2 eggs, 1 cup sour cream, and 1 teaspoon vanilla.  In separate bowl whisk together 2 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, and 1/4 tsp. salt.  Gradually add to butter mixture.  Stir in 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed. Spread into greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.  Cool completely then frost with cream cheese frosting.  Store in refrigerator.

I also tried a recipe from Pinterest for leftover mashed potato soup that was good!  I added bacon bits and 1/2 tsp. Celery Salt to this recipe.  It was soooo creamy and thick!

And finally, Izzy has been in training to be a gift wrapper?
